In this role, you will be responsible for installing and finishing interior and exterior trim elements, ensuring every project reflects quality, durability, and aesthetic excellence. Your expertise in carpentry and attention to detail will contribute to creating stunning, polished spaces that exceed client expectations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a vibrant construction environment dedicated to excellence. Duties Measure, cut, assemble, and install interior and exterior trim components including baseboards, crown molding, door casings, window casings, wainscoting, custom millworking and cabinets Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute trim installation projects. Use hand tools such as chisels, hammers, saws, and levels as well as power tools like nail guns, drills, and sanders to complete tasks efficiently. Prepare surfaces by caulking, filling gaps with putty or spackle, sanding rough edges, and ensuring smooth finishes for a professional look. Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to coordinate schedules and ensure timely completion of finishing phases. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials, adhering to safety protocols on-site at all times. Experience Proven experience in trim carpentry or finish carpentry within residential or commercial construction projects. Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles related to material quantities for trim installation. Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide precise work. Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in carpentry and finishing trades. Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety standards and protocols. Background in related fields such as framing carpentry, cabinetry installation, or remodeling enhances versatility.
