Job Summary About American Bath Group American Bath Group (ABG) is a leading manufacturer of high-quality bathing products with facilities across North America. Our Hamilton Bathware operation focuses on high-volume acrylic bath product manufacturing, delivering quality products efficiently and safely to customers nationwide. We are looking for a hands-on Finishing / Repair Supervisor to lead a critical part of our production operation and help drive quality, efficiency, and team performance on the manufacturing floor. The Opportunity This role is responsible for overseeing the final stages of production before products are packaged and shipped to customers. You'll lead teams through inspection, repair, sanding, buffing, painting, patching, and packaging operations while ensuring production flow, quality standards, and labor efficiency stay on track. This is an ideal opportunity for a manufacturing leader who enjoys being on the floor, solving problems in real time, improving processes, and leading teams in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do Lead day-to-day finishing and repair operations on the production floor Manage workflow from inspection through packaging and warehouse release Supervise sanding, buffing, painting, patching, and repair processes Ensure finished products meet quality standards before shipment Monitor labor performance, throughput, and operational efficiency Analyze production trends and help improve processes Collaborate closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams Coach and develop production employees while maintaining accountability Help drive continuous improvement initiatives across the department Maintain a strong floor presence and support team performance throughout the shift What Success Looks Like In your first 6-12 months, success will include: Maintaining strong production flow and throughput Reducing rejected units and repair/rework issues Meeting labor and cost-per-unit goals Delivering quality finished products on time Building positive employee engagement and accountability Supporting a safe, organized, and efficient production environment Improving operational performance through problem-solving and process improvements Work Environment This is a hands-on manufacturing leadership role in a fast-paced production environment.
Candidates should expect:
A physically active role with extended time on the production floor A hot, dirty, industrial manufacturing environment A fast-moving operation with changing production demands Approximately 45-55 work hours weekly Overtime and occasional weekend work as needed A leadership role that is primarily floor-based rather than office-based This position is approximately 90% production floor leadership and 10% administrative work. What We're Looking For Preferred candidates will have: Manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience Experience in high-volume production environments Strong problem-solving and process improvement abilities Ability to analyze KPIs and operational trends Exposure to lean manufacturing concepts Strong communication and team leadership skills Comfort working in physically demanding industrial settings A hands-on leadership style with strong urgency and accountability Successful candidates are typically: Coachable Curious Creative problem-solvers Comfortable leading directly on the production floor Adaptable under changing operational demands Formal education is helpful but not required. Operational leadership ability and manufacturing experience are the primary drivers for success in this role.
