Job Title:
Finishing Technician Job Description The Finishing Technician performs precise finishing, deburring, and inspection of machined components using a variety of tools and inspection equipment. This role ensures parts meet exact quality specifications by polishing, washing, tumbling, bead blasting, honing, assembling, and deburring components, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and consistency in a clean, modern manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Use inspection equipment accurately and consistently to verify part quality, including micrometers, air gauging, optical comparators, refractometers, calipers, go/no-go gauges, thread gauges, and plug/pin gauges. Follow established processes to polish, wash, tumble, bead blast, hone, assemble, and deburr parts according to job and quality requirements. Perform deburring operations to ensure all parts are consistently free of burrs and meet precision machining standards. Recognize and remove burrs on components using appropriate hand tools, microscopes, and other finishing equipment. Conduct regular inspection of components, applying mechanical and precision machining knowledge to identify nonconforming parts. Use a microscope on a regular basis to inspect fine details and verify that finished parts meet specifications. Perform consistent fine motor manipulation to handle small parts and delicate finishing tasks accurately. Apply a working knowledge of health and safety practices, actively promoting and upholding a strong safety culture. Identify opportunities to improve safety and quality and take appropriate action before problems occur. Immediately report potential hazards, unsafe working conditions, unsafe equipment, unsafe acts, and any injuries. Support production and assembly activities by performing secondary operations and finishing tasks as needed to meet schedule and quality goals. Essential Skills A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment related to machine trades. Hands-on experience with secondary operations and assembly in a production setting. Proficiency in using inspection tools such as micrometers, air gauging, optical comparators, refractometers, calipers, go/no-go gauges, thread gauges, and plug/pin gauges. Ability to perform precise deburring and finishing work on machined components. Experience using microscopes for inspection in a production or medical-related environment. Strong fine motor skills for consistent manipulation of small parts and detailed finishing tasks. Practical experience with hand tools used in deburring, finishing, and assembly. Working knowledge of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment. Experience in quality inspection for mechanical or precision machining components. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in finishing or second operations in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Any work history in quality inspection within precision machining is beneficial. Experience in a medical or high-precision production environment is advantageous. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, production-driven setting. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $62400.00/yr.Wage:
The position includes a 20% shift differential and an annual $3,000.00 retention bonus.Generous PTO:
