Fire Alarm Foreman
Position Summary
The DAS/BDA Foreman is a hands-on, working leader responsible for the installation of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and Bi-Directional Amplifier (BDA/ERRCS) systems in new construction buildings. This role involves actively performing field work while supervising a small crew (typically 1-2 helpers), ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a working foreman, performing installation work alongside the crew
- Lead and supervise a small team (1-2 helpers) on job sites
- Install DAS and
BDA/ERRCS
systems in new construction environments- Run, route, and secure cabling (coax, fiber, etc.)
- Perform terminations, device mounting, and system components installation
- Read and interpret construction drawings, riser diagrams, and system layouts
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades
- Ensure all installations meet applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
- Maintain job site safety and enforce safety procedures
- Track daily progress and communicate updates to management
- Troubleshoot installation issues and ensure quality workmanship Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience installing
BDA/ERRCS
systems (REQUIRED)- Experience working on new construction projects
- Ability to independently run cable, perform terminations, and install system components
- Basic understanding of DAS systems and signal distribution
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schematics
- Strong work ethic and ability to lead by example in a hands-on role
- Good communication and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications
- Spanish-speaking ability (a strong plus, but not required)
- Experience with both DAS and
ERRCS/BDA
systems- Familiarity with local fire/life safety codes and RF system requirements
- OSHA certification or strong knowledge of job site safety
