Fire Extinguisher/Sprinkler Technician

Responsibilities:

Inspection and Maintenance:

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of fire extinguishers and monthly sprinkler inspections in accordance with local and national regulations.

Installation and Replacement:

Install new fire extinguishers and replace outdated or damaged units as needed.

Record-Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and replacements, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.

Customer Interaction:

Communicate effectively with clients, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any questions or concerns related to fire extinguisher systems.

Training:

Provide basic training to clients on the proper use and maintenance of fire extinguishers.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Willing to train, no experience necessary

Certifications:

Hold relevant certifications such as

NFPA 10, NYC

Fire Department Certificate of Fitness for Fire Extinguisher Inspection and Maintenance (W96), and any other applicable certifications (S12 & S13).

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of fire safety codes and regulations, as well as knowledge of various types of fire extinguisher systems.

Skills:

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.

Physical Fitness:

Ability to lift and move heavy equipment at least 50lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks associated with the role.

Valid Driver's License:

Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
