Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire pump or components of a pump and pump products. Fire Pump Assemblers perform all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process and rotate through all or most of them rather than being assigned to a specific task on a permanent basis. Includes team leaders who work as part of the team.

• Perform quality checks on products and parts.
• Assembles pumps and prepares them for shipment.
• Rotate through all the tasks required in a particular production process.
• Shovel, sweep, or otherwise clean work areas.
• Review work orders and blueprints to ensure work is performed according to specifications.
• Determine work assignments and procedures.
• Operate machinery and heavy equipment, such as overhead cranes and lifts.
• Measure, align, and mount parts using tape measure, straight edge, and feeler gauges.
• Comply with established safety policies and procedures. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment as directed. Use appropriate tools designed for their specific job tasks. Provide feedback related to hazard assessments and/or accident investigations.
• Act in accordance with Patterson's Company policies (ex. Harassment, Equal Employment Opportunity, Ethics, etc.).
• Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job.
