Job Description
A well-established and highly respected fire protection company is actively seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Technician to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, test, service, and repair fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential facilities
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with sprinkler systems, valves, piping, and related equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and ensure systems remain compliant with NFPA standards and local fire codes
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Complete service reports, inspection documentation, and maintenance records accurately
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and field personnel to complete projects efficiently
- Respond to service calls and emergency repair situations as needed
- Maintain a safe work environment while following OSHA and company safety standards
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in fire sprinkler installation, service, inspection, or maintenance preferred
- NICET certification is preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of NFPA codes and fire protection systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license preferred
Education & Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical training or trade school education related to fire protection is a plus
- NICET certification or additional fire protection certifications are highly valued
