First Step 4K Lead Teacher

Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated First Step 4K Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will lead the development and implementation of engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum for our four-year-old learners, fostering a nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Duties Design and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood standards, focusing on literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Develop and adapt curriculum materials that support children's individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and exploration. Implement effective behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and social interaction among children. Collaborate with families, specialists, and colleagues to support each child's developmental progress and welfare. Conduct ongoing assessments of children's development using standardized testing methods and document progress accurately. Lead activities that foster early childhood development milestones such as language acquisition, motor skills, and emotional regulation. Qualifications Lead Teacher must possess, at minimum, a two- year degree in early childhood education or related field. Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, with a strong background in early childhood education principles. Knowledge of curriculum development techniques tailored for toddlers and preschool-aged children. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques. Demonstrated classroom management skills to create an engaging yet disciplined learning environment. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, staff, and community partners.

Pay:

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
