About Us We are a family owned fishing lodge in Southeast Alaska with 38 years of history. Our dock represents over 167 years of combined experience. We have built a strong reputation and maintain over 84 percent returning guests each year. Position Overview We are looking for a fishing guide to join our team for the full summer season. This is saltwater fishing on the ocean. You will be solo captaining a 26 foot North River and guiding 3 to 4 guests each day. You are responsible for both the fishing experience and the overall guest experience. Guests stay in three day groups, so you will guide the same people for multiple days. Building relationships and creating a fun, positive environment is the most important part of this role. Season Dates June through August and the first week of September What You Will Do Guide guests daily on the ocean Operate and captain a 26 foot North River Build strong relationships with guests Create a fun and professional experience Continuously learn and improve your fishing Operate independently while working as part of a team What We Are Looking For Strong people skills A real passion for fishing Comfortable operating a boat in ocean conditions Willingness to learn and improve Self motivated and team oriented We care more about personality and guest experience than pure technical skill. We want to find someone who is willing to be coached and taught how to fish. What We Provide Housing included All meals provided Supportive and experienced team Very low living expenses during the season Compensation 5000 to 6500 depending on experience plus tips
