Job Description

Mobile Communications America (MCA) , your trusted advisor for wireless communications, data, and security, is seeking an experienced Advanced Security Technician to support our growing Security Division in a dynamic airport environment located in Broward County, Florida . This role is part of a project with the potential for annual renewal based on customer needs and performance. You'll be the go-to expert for installing and servicing enterprise-level access control and video surveillance systems.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Install and service physical security systems, including IP video and access control systems with electrified locking hardware. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently. Serve as the primary on-site customer interface. Oversee subcontractors and coordinate with other trades. Mentor junior technicians and ensure quality standards are met.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM
5-10 years of experience with enterprise-level physical security systems Skilled in installing, configuring, and maintaining Access Control systems. Basic networking knowledge to support system integration and troubleshooting. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve across multiple systems and platforms. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach. Experience managing subcontractor performance and ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards. Must pass TSA background screening and be eligible to obtain a Florida security technician license prior to start.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
On-site at an airport, working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions. Physical activity including lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing ladders, and using PPE. Will take day-to-day direction from on-site stakeholders while reporting to MCA's project manager. On-call for critical systems maintenance may be required. First shift hours Monday - Friday, with occasional 2nd or 3rd shift and weekends depending on project schedules.
YOUR ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical environment requires the employee to work inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; utilize personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to potentially hazardous materials, lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; be able to handle semi-frequent stressful conditions (cardiovascular), frequently work in outdoor weather conditions, frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally ascend/descend a ladder, operate a motor vehicle, frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed. On-call for critical systems maintenance may be required. First shift hours Monday - Friday, with occasional 2nd or 3rd shift and weekends depending on project schedules.
