About the role:
We are searching for an experienced leader to join the Corporate Controller's team as the Senior Manager of SEC Reporting. This position is a cross-functional leadership role responsible for the review and oversight of SEC filings including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and other related filings. The successful candidate must be a strategic, people-oriented leader with a strong technical background in SEC reporting, U.S. GAAP, and financial compliance. Strong management, cross-functional problem solving and communication skills are required. Key responsibilities:
Lead the preparation, review and filing of all SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and other required disclosures, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and deadlines. Review and provide input into the investor relations function for earnings release presentations and non-GAAP reporting. Serve as a subject matter expert and primary contact for SEC reporting matters, collaborating cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Investor Relations, and senior management. Assist Legal Department with Proxy and other periodic Form 8-K filings. Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes, internal controls and documentation to enhance efficiency and compliance. Collaborate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits, ensuring timely resolution of issues. Support consolidations and month-end close processes as needed including ownership and review of monthly GAAP cash flow statement. Lead or be strategic team member in a variety of special projects in support of senior management, compliance activities, M&A activities or consolidations function. Mentor and develop junior staff both within the SEC Reporting team and broader Carrier Controllership. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience. 3+ years of financial reporting experience. Preferred Qualifications (assets) Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include: CPA preferred Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations Excellent communication skills with the demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of staff and management Ability to work independently, self-starter, taking initiative for improvements Ability to handle confidential material related to company financial results and disseminate such information with appropriate discretion Strong attention to details Experience leading a team in a multinational organization a plus Proficiency with HFM and Workiva a plus Additional information: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction; visa sponsorship is not available. Pay Range The annual salary for this position is between $117,500.00 - $234,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
