Position Summary:
The Flat Rate Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing mechanical and electrical systems in vehicles or equipment, working under a flat-rate compensation model. This position requires expertise in performing maintenance tasks such as inspections, repairs, and installations with the ability to work efficiently and meet time-based goals. Technicians are expected to maintain high-quality standards, communicate effectively with Service Advisors, and ensure that all work is completed in a timely manner, adhering to industry best practices and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic assessments to identify issues.

Execute repairs, replacements, and installations on a variety of systems.

Work under a flat-rate compensation structure, ensuring productivity while maintaining quality.

Keep track of time spent on each job to ensure accurate billing.

Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of tools and equipment.

Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all tasks.

Communicate with service advisors or management regarding any additional work or issues discovered.
Key Skills:
Proficiency in vehicle/equipment diagnostics and repair.

Ability to work under pressure to meet time-based goals.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
