As a Fleet Maintenance Operations Manager, you'll lead a 24‑hour, five‑day‑a‑week maintenance operation that keeps our trucks and trailers safe, reliable, and ready to roll. What You Need to Succeed as a Fleet Maintenance Operations Manager at XPO Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience in diesel maintenance, repair, and fleet maintenance Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in a related field Current ASE certifications Current CDL Experience in Less‑than‑Truckload (LTL) operations Experience managing teams of 15 or more employees Ability to work a variety of shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends) to support a 24/5 shop operation Experience managing a P&L, budget, and large inventories Strong verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a diverse team Excellent time‑management and organizational skills Ability to travel up to 10% What You'll Do As a Fleet Maintenance Operations Manager, you'll oversee a full‑scale maintenance operation and lead a team responsible for keeping our fleet safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance. Lead, mentor, schedule, and develop a team of maintenance employees and contingent workers Participate in hiring, performance management, promotions, and disciplinary decisions Support maintenance operations at outlying service centers Oversee routine and preventive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime Ensure all work orders—including commercial work—are completed accurately and on time Manage inventory levels, cycle counts, and parts movement within established thresholds Analyze trends in parts usage, uptime, non‑movement, and productivity to drive efficiency Maintain a safe, compliant, and high‑quality shop environment Ensure adherence to company procedures, DOT regulations, and standard work instructions Pay, Benefits & More We believe great leaders deserve great rewards. Annual Salary Range:
$100,107 to $125,133. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for a sign-on bonus, annual and long-term incentive awards, and an equity buyout award. This is an incentive-based position, which may include bonuses, incentive or commission plans.
