Flex Circuit Setup Engineer - Flex Circuit Solutions Engineering

Minco is seeking a Setup Engineer for our Flex Circuit engineering group. Setup Engineer possess an understanding of general or proposed designs, lead design support teams, and participate in design development and selection. We are looking for a motivated, high energy, top performer with excellent communication skills to work in an agile team environment. Responsibilities Responsibilities Respond to customer RFQs by reviewing customer drawings, CAD data, and other requirements and providing a price quotation and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analysis. Setup new Flex Circuit products within Minco systems utilizing a robust New Product Introduction (NPI) development process. Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and prototype technicians to successfully setup, manufacture, and deliver prototypes to customers, timely. Setup bill of materials, manufacturing routings, build documentation, and other needed documentation to successfully build and release new products to production. Respond to questions and concerns from customers, sales, marketing, and suppliers; investigate product concepts, capability, standards, and other needs; communicate with the appropriate groups. Provide technical support to production, quality, and other internal departments in a timely manner to solve internal challenges. Participate in design, process, and continuous improvement projects; ensure objectives and timelines are met and collaborate with engineering or production personnel as required to complete projects. Investigate, evaluate, and recommend new processes, materials, and tooling to continually accelerate Minco's leadership in design and manufacturing solutions, quality, productivity, and innovation. Support the resolution of external inquiries and challenges by responding to questions and concerns from quality, purchasing, and customer service departments in a timely and professional manner. Ensure compliance with department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Perform other duties as identified .

Qualifications Preferred Skills:

Prior experience in Flex Circuit and/or Printed Circuit design and manufacturing. Understanding of

IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC

6013, and other applicable standards related to circuit manufacturing. Demonstrated ability to utilize fundamental design engineering principles and practices. Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM). Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with prospects, customers, suppliers, third-party agencies, fellow employees, and Management. Ability to develop good working relationships with quality, production, sales, purchasing, and engineering groups across the company. Strong project management skills. Ability to work efficiently with a sense of urgency under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities. Ability to follow new product introduction processes to deliver quality products to customers in a timely manner. Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Visio, Project, Word, PowerPoint) Strong working knowledge of GenFlex or other CAD/CAM software related to circuit design. Experience writing and executing acceptance and qualification test procedures. Understanding and practical application of FMEA. Strong working knowledge of DOE and Capability Study. Experience with lean principles. Strong graphics/visual aide creation skills. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience, ideally in a similar role at a business-to-business manufacturing company with diverse product and service solutions, within AS9100 or ISO9001 systems. Work Environment General office, engineering and production floor, and manufacturing environments. Domestic and/or International Travel might be twenty percent or more, as needed. Fast-paced, dynamic workload and responsibilities. This is an on-site role.

Compensation:

Range of $80,000 to $130,000 annual gross salary
