Job Description
Job Summary:
The Chiropractic Assistant supports the daily operations of the clinic by performing technical duties, administrative functions, and patient care tasks under the supervision of a licensed Chiropractor or MD. This role is essential in maintaining an efficient, clean, and organized office while ensuring a positive and professional patient experience.Description of duties/essential functions:
(Individual duties, assignments and responsibilities required of the position) Greet patients, check them in, and confirm insurance status and medical history. Record diagnostic information such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and height. Manage the waiting room and maintain timely patient flow. Distribute educational materials and demonstrate exercises as instructed. Maintain organized auto patient files and respond to emails within 24 hours. Answer phones, address patient concerns, and make appropriate referrals. Coordinate referrals to imaging, pain management, and specialists as directed. Perform daily and end-of-day cleaning duties to ensure a clean and professional office environment. Chart accurate patient notes and assist with record reviews. Handle administrative tasks including laundry, scanning, and filing. Make reminder and confirmation calls for new patients, missed appointments, and massage sessions. Stock treatment rooms and update inventory list by the 1st of each month. Assist with x-rays and perform physiotherapy (ultrasound, E-stim, combo, heat, etc.).Minimum Qualifications:
Personable and professional demeanor; courteous and tactful with patients. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements. Willingness to undergo training for x-rays, therapy treatments, and clinic-specific procedures. Ability to explain chiropractic care and its role in holistic health. Organized, quick learner, and able to multitask. Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations. Technologically proficient with fast typing skills and ability to learn medical software. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Must pass a background check. Eligibility to sit for Nevada Chiropractic Assistant certification after required training period.Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. 2-3 years of experience working with people, preferably in a medical office. Chiropractic experience preferred. Must complete required CEUs and maintain certification.Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Back office of a chiropractic practice. Frequent patient interaction. Requires long periods of sitting, standing, and light lifting (up to 25 lbs). May require evening and weekend shifts. Noise level is typically low to moderate.Similar jobs in Henderson, NV
