Job Description

Position:
Full-time Branch Locations:
Carencro, La, Church Point, LA, Lafayette, LA, and Rayne, LA Position Summary This role combines teller responsibilities with customer service support. As a floating employee, you will travel between branches to provide coverage during peak periods, holidays, and staff absences. Professionalism, flexibility, and strong customer service skills are essential.. Key Responsibilities Teller Duties Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments Issue money orders and cashier's checks Balance cash drawer daily and maintain proper cash controls Send and receive drafts for collection Complete VISA cash advances for customers Handle night deposits and mail transactions Redeem U.S. Savings bonds Assist customers with safe deposit box access Provide courteous, efficient support by resolving customer inquiries, problems, and complaints Promote bank services and maintain product knowledge Travel to other branches as needed Other duties, as assigned Customer Service
  • Maintain full working knowledge of Business Process Manager and related systems
  • Learn all bank products to effectively cross‑sell and advise customers
  • Issue debit cards and assist with card maintenance
  • Complete documentation for Successions and IOLTA accounts
  • Open, sort, and distribute mail
  • Review customer information maintenance forms
  • Monitor daily reports for CDs, savings, checking, and IRA contributions/distributions
  • Order customer checks
  • Assist customers with reconciling bank statements
  • Process stop payment orders
  • Prepare information for wire transfers
  • Manage safe deposit box records, payments, and customer access
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and discreetly
  • Other duties, as assigned Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma, technical school certificate or college diploma; or minimum one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of either.
  • Continuing education courses in banking, specifically cross-selling and product knowledge to be acquired. Skills & Attributes
  • Proficiency with computers; ability to use printers, ten‑key adding machines, and typewriters
  • Understanding of general banking functions, including debits and credits
  • Ability to perform essential functions with reasonable accommodations
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and customer‑focused communication
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Physical & Mental Requirements
  • Close vision is required for this position (clear vision at 20 inches or less). Typing and computer work is necessary. Sitting, walking, talking, hearing and using the hands and fingers are necessary. Moderate lifting up to 25 pounds is required some of the time.
  • Concentration with moderate noise levels (EX. typewriters, computers, printers, light traffic) is necessary. Use of Interpersonal skills with customers and co-workers is a must. Qualities Preferred
  • Confident, self-starter, friendly. Minimal supervision needed. Must be able to get along with others. Travel
  • Must be available to travel to all locations as needed. Branches are located in Carencro, LA, Church Point, LA, Lafayette, LA, and Rayne, LA. Rayne State Bank and Trust Company reimburses milage for travel required between banking centers. Other
  • Some independent judgment is required under moderate supervision.
Will have contact with customers, the public and the community, and is to conduct relationships in a manner that will enhance the overall marketing effort of the bank. Will be called upon from time to time to participate in community organizations and projects. Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
