Job Description

Prairie Ridge Health is seeking a Registered Dietitian to lead our Culinary, Nutrition, and Diabetes Education team. This leader will provide oversight and direction for our talented Nutrition and Diabetes Education staff, who deliver inpatient and outpatient community nutrition services, diabetes education across three locations, community nutrition programs, and contracted services. This position also oversees our elevated culinary team and the full operations of The Ridge Café, The Perk Coffee Shop, a sizable internal catering program, and all patient nutrition services, with day‑to‑day leadership support from the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and Catering Chef. The Ridge Café is not an ordinary hospital cafeteria, it operates as a true restaurant with specialty menus, a made‑my‑way station, a large salad bar, and take‑home meals. It serves not only employees, visitors, outpatients, but also community members.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager of Food & Nutrition Services is a professional Dietitian who provides leadership and direction to the members of the Food Services, Medical Nutrition Therapy and Diabetes Services Department teams. He/she is responsible for facilitating a multi-disciplinary care delivery system, developing and updating the policies, procedures and competencies and is responsible for hiring and staffing the department to assure safety. The Manager of Food and Nutrition Services demonstrates fiscal responsibility in development and management of the department budgets. He/she is accountable for regulatory requirements and is a leader in compliance with health and safety standards and guidelines. He/she must be a leader in Quality Measurement and Enhancement for the department. The Manager must be an effective facilitator between physicians, department staff, and other members of the health care team. He/she must demonstrate competencies in the delivery of nutritional care for patients, internal staff and external customers and participate in the staffing of the departments.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION
Baccalaureate degree in dietetics or similar field required. Graduate of American Dietetic Association approved internship or CUP program Registered Dietitian status (R.D.) with the American Dietetic Association required. Valid certification in the state of Wisconsin as a certified dietitian (C.D.) required. Valid certification in the state of Wisconsin as a restaurant manager or eligible for certification required. Three years prior supervisory/management experience highly preferred or equivalent progressive career achievements demonstrating strong leadership skills Three years experience as a registered dietitian in a clinical setting preferred CPR Certification preferred Computer knowledge preferred
FTE:
1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)
Shift:
Monday-Friday, days, 1‑in‑4 call rotation with the culinary leadership team during off‑hours.
