In this dynamic role, you will serve as the vital link between the kitchen and the front of house, ensuring that food is delivered promptly, accurately, and beautifully presented. Your enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfaction will help create memorable moments that keep guests coming back. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, hospitality, and customer engagement within a lively restaurant environment. Responsibilities Safely transport prepared dishes from the kitchen to dining tables, ensuring presentation quality and temperature are maintained. Verify orders for accuracy against tickets or POS (Point of Sale) system entries before serving guests. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate timely delivery of food items. Assist with food plating, garnishing, and presentation to enhance visual appeal. Clear used dishes and assist with bussing tables to maintain a clean and welcoming environment. Support food safety standards by handling dishes properly and adhering to sanitation protocols. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods and special events such as banquets or large parties. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with food handling, preparation, and safety regulations enhances your ability to excel in this role. Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Prior banquet or catering experience can be advantageous for managing larger service events. Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude are essential for delivering exceptional guest service. Kitchen or culinary experience, including cooking or food prep, supports understanding of dish components and presentation standards. Hotel or hospitality background can provide valuable insight into guest-focused service excellence.
