$17.00 - $20.73 hourly •based on years of experience New hospital opening in August 2026 A partnership between Atlanticare and Select Medical, our 60-bed medical rehabilitation hospital will open later this year and serve patients in southeastern New Jersey. Led by a physiatrist - a physician board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation - our team includes rehabilitation nurses; physical, occupational, and speech-language therapists; dietitians; case managers and other clinical and support staff. Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital is committed to providing exceptional and compassionate care to best address the medical, physical, emotional and vocational challenges for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation and multiple traumas. Join a team of over 44,000 committed to providing exceptional patient care Responsibilities Prepare high-quality food in a timely and efficient manner Operate equipment and perform related duties in a safe manner Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising the quality of work Maintain compliance to regulatory requirements for safe food handling, by following sanitation, infection control, risk management guidelines and HACCP plan. Completes cleaning duties, pulling trash, sweeping, mopping Assist patients in completing menu selections, offering alternative menu in accordance with food allergies, food sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences. Update and validate diet changes in the patient diet management system, prints and distributes reports, tallies, menus and meal tickets. Stock nourishment rooms and assist with kitchen stocking Perform cafeteria duties as assigned including serving, grilling, stocking, cleaning and cash handling. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years or older Food Handlers Card Preferred Qualifications Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling Healthcare/restaurant experience Commitment to customer service Willingness to perform routine tasks and effectively work alongside the culinary team and leaders Additional Data Equal Opportunity Employer/including Disabled/Veterans
