Job Description
Food Service Director (CDM Preferred) Timberland Health and Rehab Full-Time | Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation | Butler, Alabama Timberland Health and Rehab is seeking an experienced and motivated Food Service Director to lead our dietary department at our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Butler, Alabama. We are looking for a strong leader who is passionate about quality food service, resident satisfaction, team development, and regulatory compliance. CDM (Certified Dietary Manager) certification is preferred for this role.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the dietary department Manage kitchen staff scheduling, training, and performance Ensure meals are prepared and served according to physician orders and dietary guidelines Maintain compliance with state, federal, and sanitation regulations Monitor food quality, kitchen cleanliness, and resident satisfaction Manage food ordering, inventory, and budget controls Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams regarding resident nutritional needs Ensure proper documentation and dietary records are maintained Lead and support survey readiness and compliance effortsQualifications:
Previous dietary management experience in skilled nursing, healthcare, or long-term care preferred CDM (Certified Dietary Manager) certification preferred Strong leadership and organizational skills Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and healthcare dietary regulations Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Why Join Timberland Health and Rehab?
