Food Service Director (Oklahoma Wesleyan University) Pioneer College Caterers is hiring a Food Service Director for Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartylesville, OK. Applicants must have 5+ years of experience with higher education dining, high volume catering, or fine dining restaurants. Pioneer College Caterers is a contract food service management company that exclusively serves faith based colleges and universities. Oklahoma Wesleyan University is a conservative Christian university. Applicant must embrace the mission of values of both Oklahoma Wesleyan University and Pioneer College Caterers. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for delivering exceptional food quality, operational excellence, and an engaging dining experience for students and campus stakeholders. This position offers the opportunity to oversee a dynamic dining program with a strong focus on team development, customer satisfaction, and financial performance . Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of dining operations, including food production, service, staffing, and sanitation Responsible for planning and serving high-end catered events both onsite and at remote locations Manage food and labor costs to meet budget and profitability targets Develop, coach, and supervise a diverse team of full-time, part-time, and student employees Ensure compliance with all food safety and regulatory standards Drive customer engagement through promotions, social media, themed events, and campus interaction Oversee inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships Collaborate with campus leadership and stakeholders to enhance the dining program Qualifications 5+ years of food service leadership experience (higher education or high volume catering preferred) Strong financial and operational management skills Proven ability to lead, train, and develop teams Experience with high-end and casual catering and event execution Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic reporting tools What We're Looking For A visible, hands-on leader who thrives in a customer-facing environment A positive, team-oriented professional with strong leadership presence Someone who can balance operational execution with relationship-building A leader who can enhance dining culture through creativity and engagement Position Details Full-time, year-round leadership role Competitive salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 Benefits package included Moderate catering volume and campus dining program Relocation assistance may be considered
