Food Service Manager - Merrills Ice Cream & Grill

Overview Merrill's Ice Cream & Grill opening the beginning of May 2026 for the Season! We are searching for a full time manager to lead our lively and fun summer crew. Come join our team. Opening around the first week of May and close Labor Day. Duties Lead daily food service operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met consistently Supervise and motivate staff members, including cooks, servers, and kitchen assistants, fostering a positive team environment Manage shift schedules, monitor staffing levels, and ensure efficient workflow during busy hours Oversee food safety protocols and sanitation practices to maintain compliance with health regulations Coordinate with the culinary team to develop menu offerings that appeal to diverse customer tastes and dietary needs Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to prevent shortages Implement training programs on food handling, safety procedures, and hospitality best practices Qualifications Extensive knowledge of food production, cooking techniques, and food preparation standards Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences Familiarity with shift management, food handling procedures, and restaurant operations Previous experience in ice cream shops or grill establishments is highly desirable Join us as a Food Service Manager where your leadership will inspire excellence in every dish served.
