Duties Help As Food Service Worker, WG-7408, your typical work assignments may include, but not limited to: Set trays in tray assembly line. Sets-up cups, utensils, condiments, and hot and cold beverages on trays according to standard practice. Loads and pushes tray cart to designed area. Follows established procedures and standards on in assisting the cook in cooking meals according to the menu and portion sizes. Practices good health responsibilities in the kitchen by using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and sanition practices. Maintains dish machine, sets-up, operes, breaks-down and cleans dish machine, pot washers, tray conveyors, refrigerors, freezers or other comparable equipment or appliances. Follows standard practices to rote inventory promoting first-in/first-out issue. Moves covered and stored food for easy access. stores food according to standard practice. Cleans work tables, facilities or bhrooms as scheduled or when assigned. As scheduled or assigned, cleans toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, etc. adheres approprie sanition standards. The work is performed in the detention center under high stressful situions. The work is performed in kitchen areas where the steam and he from cooking and dishwashing equipment often cause uncomfortably high temperures and humidity. The work area is well lighted but usually noisy from food service activities, and there is danger of slipping on floors where food or beverages have been dropped, Regularly exposed to hot liquids, sharp cutting blades, hot working surfaces, and extreme temperure changes when entering walk-in refrigerion or freezing units.
