Job Description
The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description Incumbent will complete forest inventory and prepare timber sales on state forest properties under the direction of a Forester 1 and/or Forestry Technician II.
Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain.
Must be able to work in remote areas.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Travel may be required.
Overnight travel may be required.
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds.

Incumbent will be required to:
- Gather and input forest inventory data into the State Forest Inventory Database.
- Assist with timber type mapping and inventory plot layout using handheld GPS/GIS technology.
- Collect stand analysis data and mark timber according to Forester's marking guide and prescription.
- Assist with lay out and inspection of timber sales.
- Use ArcPro for creating and editing shapefiles and maps.
