Forklift Operator

Job Title:

Forklift Operator We are hiring a forklift operator to join a small, close‑knit warehouse team supporting one of the area's leading distributors of carwash equipment and components. This permanent role combines sit‑down forklift operation with hands‑on order picking and pallet building in a clean, well‑organized facility.

Responsibilities:

Operate a sit‑down forklift safely to move and stage materials. Pick and build orders using an iPad and RF scanner. Locate products by aisle and bay in an organized warehouse layout. Build, wrap, and stage pallets for shipping and delivery. Meet productivity and accuracy goals while handling materials safely. Use pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed. Support general warehouse and material handling duties.

Requirements:

At least 6 months of sit‑down forklift experience or forklift certification. Warehouse order picking or material handling experience. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. Comfort using an iPad and RF scanner. Reliable transportation. High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Experience:

Shipping, packing, and pallet wrapping experience. Familiarity with pallet jacks and warehouse equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team. Why Join Us? Schedule & Environment:

First shift, Monday-Friday, typically 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a possible 6:30 a.m. start. 5 to 10 hours of overtime per week. Non‑temperature‑controlled warehouse environment. Small team setting with hands‑on warehouse work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Green Island, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
