Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate, where your energy and precision will drive our logistics operations forward! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo forklifts, to efficiently load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and materials handling will ensure smooth order picking, shipping, and receiving processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a key player in a fast-paced distribution environment that values safety, accuracy, and teamwork. Responsibilities Safely operate forklift trucks such as lift trucks, reach trucks, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments with precision. Manage order picking tasks using equipment like pickers and other warehouse tools to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Assist with inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and updating warehouse management systems (WMS). Support shipping and receiving activities by preparing shipments, verifying inbound and outbound loads, and ensuring proper documentation. Perform routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs to ensure all machinery operates safely and effectively. Handle heavy materials with proper lifting techniques to prevent injury while maintaining productivity standards. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve overall workflow. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, or similar machinery in a warehouse setting. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and experience with order picker technology. Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting. Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and shipment documentation. Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting, load & unload tasks, and extended periods of standing or walking. Prior experience in shipping & receiving operations or warehouse distribution is highly desirable.
