Job Description

We are looking for an certified Class A truck driver and certified Forklift Operator to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. This position is Monday through Friday 7a-330p. Responsibilities Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts Input "macros" into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers, using pallets, forklift and other equipment. Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs. Lift and move pallets and products off/on shelves/trucks and transfer to correct warehouse locations and completing the necessary transfer procedures in LX. Handle paperwork associated with the product items. Timely and accurate loading and unloading of tractor-trailer trucks per ticket requirements. Take new Raw Material delivery product samples and label for QC review. Receive shift deliveries into LX no later by the end of the shift delivered. Maintain the integrity of products through proper handling and storage. Maintain accurate inventories by completing assigned inventory responsibility areas within set frequencies. Ensure safe operation of a forklift and completing pre-shift inspections Ensure facility maintenance through housekeeping, keeping product and facility secure, and maintaining the assets of the facility. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills Proven work experience as a Class A truck driver. Certified in Reach forklift Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc) Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Valid truck driving license
