Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic distribution team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating heavy equipment, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. Your expertise in forklift operation, warehouse management systems, and materials handling will ensure smooth shipping, receiving, and inventory processes. Responsibilities Safely operate various types of heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload shipments. Manage inventory by accurately picking orders using warehouse management systems and ensuring correct product selection with pickers. Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment such as forklifts and clamp trucks to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Assist in shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, updating records, and maintaining accurate logs. Support warehouse distribution operations by organizing materials, stacking pallets, and ensuring proper storage using heavy lifting techniques. Follow OSHA safety standards diligently while performing all tasks to promote a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to improve workflow efficiency, implement best practices in materials handling, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Experience Proven experience operating forklifts or other heavy equipment such as reach trucks or Hi-Lo in a warehouse or distribution setting. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking, inventory control, and shipping documentation. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while adhering to OSHA regulations. Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and troubleshooting is preferred. Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, or warehouse distribution is highly desirable. Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols including OSHA standards related to heavy equipment operation. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements. $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
