Full Job Description Overview Forklift Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate a variety of highly sophisticated packing machines, ensuring the inbound/outbound schedules are met. Work as part of a team to load and/or unload materials. Evaluate systems and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement. Comply with company policies and safety guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment. Meet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standards. Report safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediately. Accurately pick, pack, check, and load products to and from designated areas in the facility, as well as on and off trailers. Move materials packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility. Stack loads in the correct storage bays, following inventory-control instructions. Complete forms and handle documentation. Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs, and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance. Keep accurate production records and report issues. Perform other duties as required.
Job Requirements Education and Experience:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent 1 year of related work experience RF Scanner experience preferred OSHA forklift certification or operating experience preferred
Essential Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts such as reach trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments with precision. Manage order picking tasks using warehouse management systems (WMS) and pick techniques to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Conduct regular equipment inspections and perform basic mechanical repairs or report maintenance needs to ensure optimal operation of forklifts and other heavy machinery. Assist with warehouse organization by stacking pallets, managing materials handling tasks, and maintaining a clean work environment in compliance with OSHA standards. Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, preparing goods for dispatch, and ensuring proper documentation. Operate equipment such as load & unload tools, clamp trucks, and lift trucks safely during heavy lifting operations. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve overall workflow efficiency. Experience Proven experience operating heavy equipment including reach trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, clamp trucks, forklift trucks, or similar machinery within a warehouse setting. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control procedures, and order picking techniques. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to materials handling and heavy equipment operation. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshoot operational issues. Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and prolonged periods of standing or walking throughout the warehouse environment. Prior experience in shipping & receiving operations or warehouse distribution is highly desirable. Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and documentation accuracy. $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
