Hourly This is a permanent, full-time position that is eligible for enrollment in company benefits after 60 days and 40 hours Vacation after 90 days 7:00am-4:00pm Monday

• Friday, Possible Saturdays January-April 7:00am

Position Purpose Summary:

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment such as metal fabricating, machine tools, material-handling system, and automated lubrication system. You will be expected to ensure that equipment and machinery are in proper operating condition to maximize production and minimize down time.

Principal Job Responsibilities:

Utilize tool room equipment such as drill press and welding equipment. Proper use of micrometers calipers and dial indicators. Operate forklift when required. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment including identification of unsafe conditions. Track and perform continuous improvement (lean) activities. Ordering and maintaining stock parts and repair parts as needed Repair and maintain all lift equipment, diagnosis, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Obtain quotes and service recommendation to Maintenance Manager Ensure OSHA compliance on man lifts and all other equipment Sanitizing Equipment after service performed to ensure GMP Food safety Ensure proper use of equipment-water and charging procedures This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position. While performing the duties of the position, the employee must be able to use manual dexterity required for using hand tools and operating machinery; Able to lift up to 30 pounds; must be able to stand or walk for prolonged periods; experience extensive walking and standing; vision/hearing/talking; repeating motion (hands/wrists); bending and stooping

Work Environment:

While performing duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to wet and slippery floors, occasionally moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud; Variable temperatures of both heat and cold. 20% normal office environment with 80% manufacturing environment.
