Job Description

Position Summary:
The Shop Mechanic is responsible for performing mechanical inspections, and repairs on all types of forklifts. This hands-on role involves diagnosing equipment issues and providing efficient repairs. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined and is safety-focused. Benefits pay rates $27-$38 an hour Tuition reimbursement Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off (after 91 days of full-time employment) Paid holidays Schedule, Monday through Friday Start time 6:30 a.m. End time 3:00 p.m.
Position Responsibilities:
Forklift Mechanic-Shop (or auto mechanic) Troubleshoot, diagnose, perform planned maintenance, and repair various makes of forklifts. Document and recommend additional repairs, collaborating with the Shop Lead to prepare quotes. Communicate seamlessly with the Shop Lead for any technical assistance or unusual service challenges. Attend service training classes to stay ahead on new products and refresh your knowledge.—unsure if you want to list this Submit daily paperwork promptly and condition/maintenance reports. Keep the shop organized and tidy. Offer a helping hand to fellow shop techs when needed. Always prioritize safety, following rules and policies diligently.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Masterful skills in repairing powered industrial equipment, with a minimum of two (2) years' experience fixing forklift trucks and other products we represent, including LP Gas, diesel, and electric trucks (auto). Successful completion of required training courses. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.. Basic computer proficiency and laptop fundamentals. Ownership of tools. Certification to operate material handling equipment. Performs related work and other job assignments as required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Lift and carry up to 60 pounds occasionally, 5-30 pounds more frequently, and up to 30 pounds very frequently. to repair and operate machinery. Occasional sitting, stooping, crouching, squatting, climbing, and crawling. Constant use of hands and fingers for repairs and office work.
Pay:
$27.00 - $38.00 per hour
