Forward Deployment Engineer (FDE)

Title - Forward Deployment Engineer (FDE) Location - Plano, TX (onsite) Role Overview We are seeking a Forward Deployment Engineer (FDE) who acts as a customerfacing engineer, working closely with clients to deploy, customize, and operationalize advanced software/data platforms. The role requires strong software engineering, data problemsolving, and client interaction skills, bridging the gap between product engineering and realworld customer use cases. Key Responsibilities Work directly with customers and stakeholders to understand business problems and translate them into technical solutions Deploy, configure, and customize data platforms, analytics solutions, or enterprise software Build data pipelines, integrations, and custom workflows using Python, SQL, APIs, and cloud services Rapidly prototype and iterate solutions in customer environments Support endtoend delivery: design implementation deployment production support Collaborate with core product/engineering teams to influence product roadmap based on field learnings Troubleshoot complex data, performance, and integration issues Provide onboarding, enablement, and technical guidance to customer teams Required Skills Strong software engineering skills in Python (primary) Solid experience with SQL and relational / analytical databases Experience working with data pipelines, ETL/ELT, APIs, and integrations Handson experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) Ability to work in customerfacing roles and explain complex systems clearly Strong problemsolving mindset with the ability to work in ambiguous environments Experience deploying solutions in production environments Good to Have Experience with distributed systems or big data frameworks (Spark, Kafka, Airflow) Exposure to ML/AI workflows or analytics platforms Experience in consulting, platform deployment, or solutions engineering Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes Prior experience in industries such as manufacturing, energy, healthcare, or finance Education Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience
