Job Description
Position:
Foundry Equipment Mechanic + Perform regular inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of foundry machinery including furnaces, molding equipment, conveyors, and cooling systems + Diagnose mechanical issues and implement corrective actions to restore equipment to proper working conditions + Conduct preventive maintenance on foundry equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan + Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities in a way that minimizes impact on operations + Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts used + Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations while working on machinery + High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a relevant field is preferred + 3+ years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing or foundry environment + Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems + Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment + Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics + Experience with specific foundry equipment brands and models + Knowledge of welding and fabrication processes + Understanding of electrical systems and ability to perform basic electrical troubleshooting + Familiarity with maintenance management software preferred + Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations specific to manufacturing/industrial environment + Proficient in diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques for various types of foundry equipment + Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures + Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently + Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written + Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration and support + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Powered by JazzHR To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker accountSimilar jobs in Norwich, KS
