Preparing Molds:

Create and assemble molds using materials such as sand, clay, plaster, metal, or ceramic to shape molten metal accurately.

Melting and Pouring Metal:

Operate furnaces to melt metal alloys and carefully pour molten metal into molds.

Monitoring Casting Process:

Ensure the temperature and quality of molten metal meet specifications.

Finishing Products:

At times remove solidified castings from molds, trim, grind, sand, polish.

Equipment Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance on furnaces, molds, and other foundry equipment.

Housekeeping Duties:

Organize and clean work area and at times shovel sand.
