Framing Specialist (Full-Time or Contractor)

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Framing Specialist to join our workshop team in Alpha, New Jersey . We are a professional art installation and fine art services company working with galleries, corporate clients, and private collectors throughout the NYC and tri-state area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, values precision craftsmanship, and takes pride in producing high-quality, professional work. Key Responsibilities Build custom wood and metal frames to precise specifications Measure, cut, and assemble frame components accurately Operate framing tools and workshop equipment safely Work with matting, glazing, backing, and hardware installation Ensure quality control and consistency in finished pieces Assist with packing, handling, and preparation of artwork when needed Maintain clean, organized, and safe workshop environment Qualifications Experience in framing, woodworking, carpentry, cabinetry, or similar hands-on craft preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise measurements Comfortable using power tools and hand tools Ability to lift and move artwork and materials (up to 50 lbs) Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Ideal Candidate Detail-oriented and meticulous Strong problem-solving skills Takes pride in craftsmanship Works efficiently while maintaining high quality standards Interested in fine art, design, or fabrication
