Job Description

About Us We are an established accounting and advisory firm based in Highland, Indiana, serving small business owners across the region with bookkeeping, fractional CFO services, and exit readiness advisory. Our team is small, sharp, and client-focused — and we're looking for a Front Desk / Office Manager who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly and making every client feel welcome. The Role This is a full-time, in-office position. You'll be the first point of contact for our clients — by phone, email, and in person — and the operational backbone of our front office. The right person is friendly, organized, and genuinely enjoys helping people and creating order out of chaos. Responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls and respond to client emails promptly and professionally Greet clients walking into the office and make them feel welcome Assemble, organize, and file client paperwork and engagement documents Accept and process client payments; maintain accurate records Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar Keep the office space tidy, stocked, and presentable Provide general administrative support to the owner and team Assist with payroll processing tasks during slower periods (training provided)
Schedule Monday-Thursday:
9:00 AM
  • 5:00
PM Friday:
9:00 AM
  • 1:00 PM (May through December) Friday hours may extend during tax season (January-April) Qualifications 1-2 years of office, administrative, or front desk experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable using email, calendars, basic spreadsheets, and learning new software Professional appearance and demeanor Reliable, punctual, and self-directed Discretion and respect for client confidentiality (you'll handle sensitive financial information) Preferred (Not Required) Prior experience at an accounting, law, or professional services firm Familiarity with QuickBooks, Gusto, or other payroll/accounting software Bookkeeping or payroll background We are an equal opportunity employer.
