$18.50-21.00; (New employees should expect to start at the base wage)

School Year & Summer Calendar; M-F 1:30-7PM (variable hours)

Statutory Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Site Director, the Front Desk Operator is responsible for operating the front desk, providing quality customer service and ensures the safety & supervision of the members. Must be cooperative, friendly and create a safe and harmonious environment. Support with implementation of programs within the Formula for Impact and five core program areas (Character Development & Leadership Development, Education & Career Development, The Arts, Health & Life Skills, and Sports, Fitness & Recreation). Abide by and support the Club mission, to inspire and enable all young people to reach their full potential as caring, productive and responsible citizens. KEY ROLES
(Essential Job Responsibilities):
FRONT DESK PROGRAM SERVICES
Maintain the upkeep, safety, security and appearance of the front desk; Responsible for monitoring and tracking all members and visitors upon entering and exiting the building; Answer all calls that may come in and transfer to appropriate staff personnel; Responsible for all membership services including intake, database entry, filing, member photos, Club cards and orientations; Maintain all membership and dashboard systems of the Club. Maintain and print program and member forms; Responsible for tracking programs and membership data for dashboard reports monthly; Maintaining member information with Trax Manager; Tracking daily membership and program attendance; Maintaining all Club documents and filing system at the front desk; Maintain all required paperwork to track programs, member participation and grant documentation; Works with Director/Coordinator to accurately track membership and transportation program; Maintaining membership and transportation waiting lists, updating rosters, and forms; Tracking and collecting payments and creating invoices for the membership and transportation program. Creating reports needed for program support; Provide direction, assistance, and recognition to volunteers; Maintaining volunteer information with Trax Manager; Creates monthly calendar and informational flyers; Disperse and communicate necessary information to members, families and the public about upcoming events, field trips and activities; Promote and stimulate interest in activities and special events through bulletin board displays, flyers, and announcements of upcoming activities offered; Report supplies needed for facility and front desk as needed to supervisor; Supervise, develop and implement programs; Coordinate & implement spontaneous recreational activities; Work with staff and parents/guardians to recognize members for good work & disciplinary issues that may occur at the Club; Facilitates the checkout and return of equipment at the front desk;
Other Duties:
Abide by the Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley Policies & Procedures; Attend Board and Committee Meetings as requested; Attend local trainings and workshops in the field as requested; Attend staff meetings as requested; Abides by Federal, State and all applicable laws; Wear appropriate staff uniform while working; Perform other duties as assigned by Coordinator and Administration.
Requirements:
First Aid & CPR certified; Pass TB test; Pass FBI, DOJ and overall background check; County Assessment Compliant (Proof 48 completed college units, copy of college degree or County Assessment Certificate; we can assist in getting you the certificate). 2 years of youth development and customer services experience preferred; Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills development and maintenance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Requires the mobility to stand, stoop, reach and bend; Requires the mobility of arms to reach and dexterity of hands to grasp and manipulate small objects; May require to ability to stand for long periods; May require the ability to walk long distances; May require the ability to work evenings and weekends as requested.
