General Manager About the Role We are seeking an experienced and service-driven Front Desk Supervisor to join the opening leadership team of a new 40-room luxury boutique hotel located in the heart of the New River Gorge National Park. This role is a key front-line leader responsible for supervising daily front desk operations while delivering a refined, welcoming, and seamless guest experience. The ideal candidate is a confident hospitality professional with strong operational knowledge, a passion for guest service, and the ability to lead, coach, and support a diverse front desk team in a fast-paced, pre-opening environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily front desk operations, ensuring service standards are consistently met Lead and support Front Desk Associates during all shifts Oversee check-in, check-out, reservations, billing, and cash handling procedures Serve as the primary point of escalation for guest concerns and service recovery Ensure accurate shift reports, handovers, and documentation Coordinate closely with Housekeeping and Facilities to ensure room readiness Train, coach, and mentor front desk staff to uphold brand standards Support scheduling, coverage, and operational continuity Model professionalism, hospitality, and leadership at all times Qualifications & Experience Minimum 2-3 years of front desk or hotel guest services experience Prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred Solid understanding of PMS systems, reservations, and front office procedures Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-volume or high-pressure situations Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays What We're Looking For A hands-on leader who enjoys being on the floor and supporting the team A hospitality professional with a guest-first mindset Someone excited about helping build systems, standards, and culture in a new hotel A collaborative team player who works well across departments What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Opportunity to be part of a hotel opening and leadership team Growth potential within a boutique hospitality environment A supportive, professional workplace in one of the country's most scenic destinations Interested in leading the guest experience from the front line?
