FTZ & Trade Compliance Specialist

HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW

The FTZ & Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting international trade operations, Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) compliance, and U.S. Customs processes for a growing manufacturing operation This is an in-office position based in Manteno, IL.

EXPECTATIONS

Support FTZ admissions, transfers, and withdrawals (214s, 7512s, consumption entries) Maintain FTZ inventory accuracy including consumption entries, WIP tracking & scrap Ensure proper recordkeeping and documentation for CBP compliance and audits Assist with FTZ reporting and reconciliation activities Perform HTS classification and country-of-origin verification Analyze tariffs including Section 301 exposure and duty impact Escalate compliance risks, data gaps, and process breakdowns Collaborate with Logistics, Manufacturing, and Finance teams •

ESSENTIALS 2-5

years of experience in import operations & customs compliance FTZ experience including admissions, withdrawals, and consumption entries Working knowledge of U.S. import entry process along with CBP rules and regulations Familiarity with HTS classification and tariff structures Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Proficiency with Excel and document management tools such as SharePoint Experience with SAP/ERP or trade compliance systems Understanding of CTPAT a plus

Pay:

$90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
