Full Time Construction Crew Member

Taylor Telecom is looking for a Full-Time Construction Crew Member for our Merkel office. Office hours are 8am-5pm M-F with potential for overtime.

Job Description:

This is an outside construction position that will be required to operate machinery, work in extreme temperatures, and occasionally work with the public. You will be using tools and machinery to place and splice fiber and copper cable in the ground or on poles. This position involves installing fiber and/or copper to customer homes. You will be required to deal with customers and are expected to be respectful of the customer and their property.

Requirements:

• Be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
• Work outside in both heat and cold temperatures
• Class A CDL highly preferred but not required
• Pre-employment drug test required

Desires:

• Equipment operating (Ditchwitch, Backhoe, Trencher, etc)
• Background placing fiber and/or copper cables (preferred but not required)
• Background splicing cables (preferred but not required)
