Location 7550 Stage Road Buena Park Ca. 90621 Job Title Delivery Driver CDL / Class B or C / 22' Bob-Tail Trucks, Automatic and/or Manual Shift. Job Type Full-Time / Excellent Benefits. Hours Job Summary 6:30 AM -3:00 PM + Overtime as Needed M-F Make deliveries to customer jobsites while adhering to all safety procedures. Load inventory on truck and unload at customer jobsite. Major Tasks, Responsibilities and key accountabilities Perform routine inspection of vehicle and supplies to ensure road safety. Follow route to and from customers' businesses and adjust for traffic to ensure delivery efficiency. Ensure that both delivery tickets and purchase orders are complete and accurate. Deliver merchandise to customer and contact customer if they are not present. Load truck with daily merchandise to be delivered as well as oversee unloading by customer at jobsite. Assist in pulling orders to match manifest. Pick up materials at manufacturers / vendors and deliver direct to customer jobsites. Prepare and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures. Provide assistance to resolve customer issues and communicate continually with Dispatcher / Supervisor. Submit to random drug testing and all requirements of California Department of Transportation. Nature and Scope Immediately refer complex, unusual problems to Dispatcher/ Supervisor. Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior co-worker or supervisor. Work Environment Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward. Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise and fumes which may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness. Requires proactive, positive, assertive communication with customers and vendors along the delivery route to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Essential Skills Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age Must pass drug test Must pass the background check Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable Education and Experience « H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. required. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility is preferred. Preferred Qualifications Class B or C — Operate vehicle with GVW over 26,000 pounds not in combination, or transport hazardous materials that require placarding. Forklift Certification. « HazMat Certification preferred.
