Full Time Lead Preschool Teacher for Performing Arts Preschool

Stages Academy, a performing arts preschool and afterschool program, is looking for a Lead Academic Teacher to teach Language Arts and Math/Science for our Buckingham location! We are a school based on the Reggio Emilia approach and provide a program that challenges a child's whole brain by putting academics and the arts on an even playing field. Our unique program allows students to attend classes on a rotational basis, in 35 minute intervals throughout the day, providing them with the opportunity to learn from a wide variety of teachers and staff. We are looking to hire full-time academic teachers to lead language arts classes for our young preschool through Pre-K (ages 2-5 years old) students. This position would be best suited for a seasoned teacher who is familiar with teaching instructional lessons in phonics, handwriting, and pre-reading skills. The ideal candidate would have prior experience in a preschool setting, have familiarity with writing lesson plans, and be capable of working independently in the classroom. The ideal candidate will be well organized and have solid time management and classroom management skills. This person would be a team player, flexible, and friendly and nurturing with our students. Candidates should:

have a degree in early childhood education OR relevant field and experience, have experience teaching and supervising young children, have experience writing and implementing weekly lesson plans, be friendly, detail-oriented, creative, and team players. We pay a minimum of $17/hour with 2 opportunities throughout the first year to earn an additional $1.50 per hour! Benefits package available to full-time employees.
