We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team full time 6a-6p on a 3/2/2/3 rotation.
Job responsibilities include:
administering medications, obtaining and recording vital signs, providing and documenting basic resident care while ensuring our residents' comfort and dignity, monitoring residents' physical and mental conditions and reporting any changes to the healthcare team, documenting resident conditions and behaviors, collaborating with our team of CNAs, nurses, and providers to develop resident care plans, providing education and emotional support to our residents and their families, responding to emergency situations promptly, supervising and delegating tasks to CNAs, participating in ongoing education and training to maintain current nursing knowledge and skills, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations and facility policies, and acting as a team player to support the overall functioning and success of the nursing home.
Qualifications and skills include:
valid Louisiana LPN license, strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and co-workers, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to enhance resident satisfaction, compassionate care approach to support the comfort and dignity of residents, ability to adapt to changing situations and handle multiple tasks efficiently, proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) system, and knowledge of long term care regulations and protocols.
