Company Overview Family Healthcare of Elkton, a part of truHealthNow, is a private, family-oriented medical practice in Elkton, MD. The practice is very well located and is within 30 minutes of the University of Newark and Wilmington and within an hour from Baltimore and Philadelphia. We have been serving the healthcare needs for the residents of Cecil County since 2002. In this role, you will provide direct patient care, including evaluations, treatment, education, and coordination of patient healthcare needs.

Medical Director Duties & Responsibilities Performs comprehensive medical exams for patients requiring health evaluation. Performs minor surgical procedures as needed (e.g. suturing) Orders and reviews labs and other ancillary diagnostics tests, integrates into management plan. Collaborates and communicates effectively with other members of healthcare team. Educating and guiding patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle habits Managing overall patient care regarding lifestyle and development issues Prescribing medications Maintains knowledge base by reading professional literature and attending staff development and continuing education programs annually. Minimum Requirements Minimum 1 to 2 years in PC/UC , Family Practice, Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine Maintain a valid license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Maryland.
