The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders to improve patient communication and swallowing abilities. It requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and maintaining accurate documentation in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs Provide therapy to patients of all ages in a healthcare setting Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment techniques and strategies Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and federal guidelines Utilize innovative techniques and evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active SLP license in South Dakota (or eligibility for licensure) BLS certification required

Preferred Skills:

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA Experience in a healthcare setting
