A growing and highly successful real estate investment firm is seeking to hire a motivated Fund Accountant to join its team in a newly created role. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated accounting professional who enjoys ownership, collaboration, and working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate will oversee the financial reporting and accounting operations for assigned investment entities and work closely with leadership, investors, external auditors, and property management teams. Key Responsibilities Prepare quarterly financial reporting on both GAAP and IFRS bases Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries Manage annual audit processes, including preparation of footnotes and supporting schedules Assist with property valuations and investment analysis Prepare capital call and distribution calculations and investor notices Oversee cash management activities for assigned entities Review management fee, incentive fee, waterfall, and promote calculations Partner with external tax and audit firms to ensure compliance and timely reporting Support monthly property-level financial reporting and accounting for acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancings Respond to accounting and reporting requests from partners and stakeholders Assist with investment closings, bank account setup, and entity administration Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required 4-6 years of accounting and financial reporting experience within investment entities or investment management environments Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and entity structures Experience reviewing LLC agreements and loan agreements preferred CPA and/or Big Four experience is a plus Real estate industry experience preferred, but not required Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelySimilar remote jobs
