Fund Accountant

Job DescriptionJob Description Position Summary The Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Accountant serves as the Fund Custodian for multiple accounts, ensuring accurate financial management, reporting, and regulatory compliance. This role oversees daily accounting operations, including cash handling, transaction processing, budget tracking, and financial reporting. The NAF Accountant prepares and presents monthly financial statements to account stakeholders, certifies fund availability for purchases, and ensures all expenditures align with applicable state and federal regulations. This position requires a high level of accuracy, independent judgment, and accountability, as it plays a critical role in financial oversight and decision-making. Qualifications Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 3-5 years of experience in accounting, including accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and reconciliations Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial statement preparation Knowledge of state and federal financial regulations; familiarity with government or military financial environments is a plus Strong analytical skills with the ability to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial data High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to obtain and maintain required background clearance and system access credentials Company DescriptionAlpha Rae Personnel is a full-service Universal Workforce Solutions and Executive Search firm with a proven track record of success.
