Job Description
Fund Development & Grants Manager 3025 Lakewood Ranch Boulevard, Bradenton, FL 34211 Full-time Full-time SunCoast Blood Centers is seeking a strategic and mission-driven Fund Development & Grants Manager responsible for leading and coordinating the organization's fundraising, grant development, philanthropic partnerships, and community funding initiatives. This role is responsible for identifying, securing, and managing funding opportunities through federal, state, local, corporate, foundation, and community-based sources in support of SunCoast Blood Centers' mission of bringing people together to save lives through innovative blood services and therapies. The Fund Development & Grants Manager develops and manages grant proposals, funding campaigns, sponsorship initiatives, gifts-in-kind partnerships, and donor engagement strategies designed to expand organizational capacity and community impact. This position works collaboratively with executive leadership, finance, marketing, operations, and community stakeholders to strengthen external partnerships, support strategic growth initiatives, and secure sustainable funding opportunities. This position plays a critical role in supporting organizational sustainability, community engagement, emergency preparedness initiatives, healthcare access efforts, and strategic mission advancement throughout the communities served by SunCoast Blood Centers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Grant Development and Funding Administration Research, identify, and pursue federal, state, local, corporate, and foundation grant opportunities aligned with organizational priorities and strategic initiatives. Prepare, coordinate, and submit grant proposals, applications, budgets, supporting documentation, and funding narratives. Monitor grant compliance requirements, reporting deadlines, deliverables, and funding restrictions. Coordinate with finance and operational departments to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of grant expenditures and program outcomes. Maintain grant calendars, funding pipelines, reporting schedules, and application timelines. Identify and assist leadership in pursuing appropriations, public funding opportunities, and healthcare infrastructure investment initiatives. Develop and maintain relationships with grant agencies, community foundations, governmental entities, and funding partners. Support organizational efforts to position SunCoast Blood Centers as critical healthcare infrastructure within emergency preparedness, healthcare access, and community resilience initiatives. Community Campaigns and Gifts-in-Kind Partnerships Coordinate community fundraising campaigns and donor engagement initiatives supporting organizational priorities and mission awareness. Develop partnerships supporting gifts-in-kind donations including supplies, services, sponsorships, equipment, and operational resources. Coordinate solicitation, documentation, valuation, tracking, and acknowledgement of in-kind contributions in accordance with organizational and financial reporting requirements. Collaborate with businesses, healthcare partners, vendors, and community organizations to support mission-focused campaigns and events. Additional Responsibilities Regular, reliable, and timely attendance is essential. Perform other related duties as assigned in support of SunCoast Blood Centers' mission, vision, and operational needs.CORE COMPETENCIES

Primarily office-based with frequent community engagement and external partnership activities. Local travel may be required to attend meetings, events, grant-related activities, and donor engagement opportunities. Education Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Communications, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. Experience Minimum five (5) years of experience in grant development, fundraising, nonprofit development, donor relations, sponsorship development, or public funding administration required. Experience preparing and managing federal, state, and local grant applications strongly preferred. Experience with healthcare, nonprofit, public health, emergency preparedness, or mission-driven organizations preferred. Experience managing donor databases, grant tracking systems, CRM platforms, or fundraising software preferred. Experience developing sponsorship packages, community campaigns, or philanthropic partnerships preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong grant writing, proposal development, and technical writing skills. Strong relationship-building and donor engagement capabilities. Knowledge of grant compliance requirements, reporting obligations, and funding administration processes. Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, reporting requirements, and funding priorities simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and organizational leadership levels. Ability to represent SunCoast Blood Centers professionally within community, governmental, donor, and stakeholder environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, reporting platforms, CRM systems, donor databases, and grant tracking tools. Preferred Certifications Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred.
