Furniture Flooring Laborer

Summary:

Provides exceptional customer service while loading/unloading, processing, pricing and merchandising product in assigned department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Unloads trailers and assists sales staff with putting product away; operates material handling equipment safely; loads product safely into customer vehicles when purchases are made.

Assists sales staff with moving products around on the sales floor; sets up displays and prices product as directed by department manager.

Provides excellent customer service by answering questions and providing information on merchandise to customers as able and requested. Performs light housekeeping, dusting and keeping department clean. Assist customers with purchases as needed; including writing up "house" sales slips (non-commission) as needed when commissioned sales people are busy.

Assist with loss prevention efforts, including alerting LP staff as soon as possible of customer/employee theft, tag switching, etc. and of any unsafe conditions including slips, trips, and falls.

Other duties as assigned by department or store manager.
