This is NOT a passive "clock in and wait for instructions" warehouse role. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, completes projects without constant supervision, protects inventory like it is their own, and thrives in a high-accountability environment. The ideal candidate has experience in furniture warehousing, logistics, transportation, receiving, inventory management, and warehouse operations. This person must be dependable, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, safety-focused, and capable of handling both physical warehouse work and administrative/logistics coordination. This role will initially start part-time (approximately 2 days per week), with additional surge projects and increased hours during busy periods, month-end operations, container arrivals, installations, and warehouse transitions. Hourly compensation plus bonus/incentive opportunities based on performance, reliability, accuracy, and operational contribution. Responsibilities Receive and unload inbound shipments including box trucks, 53' semi trailers, and international ocean containers (20', 40', and 40HQ) Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, warehouse equipment, docks, and racking systems Perform precise inventory counts, inventory placement, labeling, organization, and inventory control Maintain exceptional warehouse organization, cleanliness, and asset protection standards Coordinate incoming and outgoing freight shipments with vendors, carriers, delivery teams, and customers Book and manage national freight shipments, LTL carriers, parcel carriers, and logistics platforms Assist with furniture assembly, staging, inspection, quality control, and damage reporting Respond professionally to staff inventory requests, customer inquiries, shipping issues, and operational problems Help identify and prevent inventory shrinkage, warehouse damage, safety concerns, and operational inefficiencies Maintain accurate spreadsheets, logs, inventory records, shipment documentation, and operational reporting Support warehouse process improvement initiatives and help maintain a highly efficient operation Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture at all times Requirements Current forklift certification
REQUIRED
Prior experience in furniture warehousing, logistics, delivery, transportation, or related operations
REQUIRED
Strong inventory management and organizational skills Strong spreadsheet and computer proficiency Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent attention to detail and follow-through Ability to problem solve and remain calm under pressure Professional communication skills with vendors, staff, and customers Reliable transportation and punctuality required Must be dependable, hardworking, low-drama, and highly accountable Experience with freight booking platforms, shipping systems, WMS, ERP, Shopify, or logistics software is a plus Physical Requirements Must be able to safely lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted, and heavier items with team assistance or material handling equipment Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, lifting, and warehouse movement required Comfortable working in active warehouse environments around forklifts, loading docks, furniture, and freight operations Ideal Candidate The right person for this role is: Self-directed Hyper organized Safety obsessed Calm under pressure Detail oriented Resourceful Hard working Reliable Able to execute without constant oversight If you have strong warehouse and logistics experience and want to be part of a growing, fast-moving operation where your work truly matters, we would like to hear from you.
